(More customer reviews)The only thing you have to worry about is buying the wrong plate for your camera! Take extra time researching to make sure that you order the one that fits your camera. Since I cannot put URLs in this review, do the following: google search for "stroboframe anti twist plate pdf" and look at the first two links, then google search for "stroboframe anti twist plate" and look at the first link. All these search results should go to tiffen's website and should give you a list of cameras and which plates fit them.
This particular plate works well for the 40D without the battery grip. The only complaint I have is it slightly covers the buttons on the bottom of the camera, but it's merely an annoyance.

Cameras mounted to flash brackets of any brand tend to twist or rotate on the camera mounting screw. Cork or rubber friction pads help, but the real solution is to use a camera-specific Anti-Twist (AT) Plate. These plates act as an interface between the camera and bracket. They pin-register to the bracket and conform to the camera's baseplate. This locks the camera to the bracket to prevent twisting.
