(More customer reviews)We bought two of these plus the SmartButton and wireless keypad. They all were extremely easy to set-up, and continue to work flawlessly. Beware that there is a half second delay after you press the remote, as the SmartButton CPU decodes the encrypted signal. So don't press twice in succession or your door will start to open and then close again on your second push. The hardest thing for me to handle wasn't the Skylink bits and pieces above, but disabling the receiver on my old garage door opener. Make sure you do disable it or the Bad Guys can get around you new high-security Skylink system by simply scanning for your old 1990s receiver dip switch code. Provided you disable your existing remote receiver circuit, this solution is an amazingly cost effective way of adding modern encryption to your existing gate or garage door.
