(More customer reviews)This is the only type of bracket I have ever used, but after looking at others there is no way I would choose another.The handle for the left hand is comfortable and allows your left hand to not only carry the weight of the entire bracket and contents, but also manage the zoom and focus rings on the lens.Then your right hand is free to hold the camera as usual (on the camera grip) to be able to press the shutter and do whatever you need to do before or after taking the picture.....adjusting camera settings, shaking hands with someone, moving props....whatever you need. For someone who wants the same amount of control with a bracket as without, this is the perfect bracket for you.So far seems extremely durable and sturdy.I love the kickstand feature which allows you to set the bracket/camera down without it tipping over and knocking into the lens or flash.
P.S. Learn from my mistake.....if you have a regular hot shoe external flash then you do not need any additional pieces.Just the bracket comes with the small screw that will allow you to hook your flash sync cord to the bracket without needing an additional piece like the "handle mount flash adapter" that this one comes with (which you would need with a particular kind of external flash) or the "shoe-type flash mount."
