(More customer reviews)This cable measures only 12 inches from the backplate to the end of the header pin connector. With my Gigabyte microATX motherboard in a microATX case, it just barely did not reach the first PCI slot at the bottom of the case. Guess which slot was unoccupied and that I needed to use for it? By removing and juggling PCI cards, I was able to use a closer PCI slot. But make sure to measure the length of cable you need, by using another ribbon cable to simulate your actual cable run, before you buy this.
Other than sacrificing compatibility by using the cheapest conceivable cable length, the cable appears to be of reasonable quality and works as intended. Caveat emptor.
