I have a 52" Toshiba LCD TV that I wanted to mount in my living room wall and I didn't want to break the bank with a $200+ wall mount.I also wanted to get the largest mount I could find because I didn't want to max out one of the medium size mounts that fits TV's 37-52 inches. When I found this mount I couldn't believe the price. This mount is fully articulating, completely adjustable and heavy duty.I was very impressed by the quality of the construction and the ease of assembly. The mount itself arrives fully assembled with the only separate pieces being the brackets that you need to fit on to the back of your TV.The mounting hardware that comes with the brackets includes several different size screws to make sure that you have the right size to fit the pre-drilled holes in the back of your TV which was very reassuring (my TV used the largest size in the package).

The Instruction booklet was a bit confusing but I understand that the instructions need to include descriptions for a wide array of TV types including flat back TV's as well as contour back TV's.FYI: Even though I didn't use them, the hardware included "spacers" that would make up the difference on the back of a contoured flat screen so that the mounting brackets sit as flush as possible on the back of your TV.

This mount is very HEAVY (40+ lbs) and because it is fully articulating; it is also awkward to hold steady. If you have 3 people you might be able to install the mount fully assembled but I had only 1 person helping me so we decided to remove the rear plate that mounts to the wall from the articulating arms (use the large allen wrench provided with the hardware kit) and screwed that plate onto the wall first. We then attached the rest of the mount to that plate after the plate was secured. The plate is about 23" wide so you should have no problem adhering it to 2 studs (which are usually located about 16 inches apart in your wall). The instructions don't tell you to do this but TRUST ME, it makes things 1,000% easier. Also, the arms attach to this plate in a similar fashion as a door hinge so if you have ever hung a door, you should be able to figure out how to get these arms on and off of the back plate.

***NOTE*** You will need some additional equipment to hang your TV that is not included in the packaging.First you will need a good quality stud finder. You need to locate the CENTER of your studs so don't skimp on the stud finder or your mount will not be secure.Secondly, you'll need a good level. The mini level attached to the mount that you see in the picture was slightly askew because of the way it was glued on (which completely defeats the purpose of having it) so I didn't trust it and got one of my own. They sell inexpensive laser levels at Home Depot that suction to your wall and shoot a nice clear beam for around $30.You'll also need a small drill to place "guide holes" in your wall before screwing in the final bolts.A simple cordless Black and Decker or Ryobi with asorted drill bits should do.Additionally, you will also need a 1/2 inch bolt driver/ratchet to screw the bolts for the wall plate into your studs. The bolts are 2" long and very heavy duty and it was much easier to ratchet them tight once the bolt driver started to make contact with the stud.

In the end I am VERY pleased with this product!I am confident that my TV is securely attached to the studs in my wall and I was able to hang my 52" TV to within a degree or 2 of completely level which is fine for me.The few additional tools that I needed weren't unexpected and I already had most of them so no big deal. The only reason I didn't give this product 5 stars is because the built in level was useless and because the instruction booklet wasn't quite as detailed as it could have been. For the price and the quality, you can't beat this mount...BUY IT!!!!!
