(More customer reviews)This card reader works perfectly in my mpc 2000xl.It reads and writes to the compact flash cards without any problem.First you need to install mpc operating system 1.20. Then all you need is an older ide cable without the blocked out pin(meaning it has all 40 holes in it and not 39) and 1 gig sandisk ultra 2 memory cards(doesn't work with kingston cards) . And it uses the same floppy power cable so you just plug it into the drive. To mount the drive you need to remove the mounting bracket from the the drive already in mpc then screw it back into the mpc. Then line up your drive to where it needs to be in the mpc and mark the 2 outer holes (they are just slightly inside of the drive area so you cant drill them). Then take out the drive and the bracket and line up the bracket to the holes and mark the two inner holes. Then drill holes with a 3/32" bit and use existing screws to mount it.
