(More customer reviews)The camera platform AND flash platform are made of stamped metal.And the main post is solid aluminum, although somewhat thin compared to the Stratos models (see my review on that) HOWEVER it does have the necessarry screw to mount a TTL sync cord, which the Stratos does NOT have.I used this last Saturday for a wedding AND later on in the day a debutant ball. Overall, the bracket construction is, on a scale of 1 to 10, about a 6.While shooting on Saturday, the flash arm kept falling over to the left side of the camera when I tilted my camera in that direction.There is no lock AT ALL on this bracket to prevent that.It was embarassing!My plan is to use this temporarily until I can get the Really Right Stuff WPF flash bracket, which with the L bracket for my D700 runs over $350. Overall this CB bracket is for light duty work.It began to squeak soon after I started shooting my second job on Saturday whenever I flipped the bracket over to portrait orientation.This is not for heavy duty professional use by any stretch of the imagination!
