(More customer reviews)This simple pass-through connector is a godsend when you wish to add an external SATA drive to a system that already has four SATA ports on the motherboard (MB). It fits into an empty PCI slot (in a PC) and comes with two attached short cables that slide easily into the MB's free SATA ports. I have two internal SATA hard drives and added a Seagate FreeAgent Pro (320 GB) that comes with both an USB and a eSATA port in the base. USB works well, but having a direct connection to existing ports (without having to install another controller or software) really makes the HDD fly. And you can add a second external SATA drive if you wish.
