(More customer reviews)I bought this OCZ bracket to hold the Intel X25-M 160GB SSD I ordered separately, not realizing that Intel includes a bracket in the package. The OCZ bracket is small and aluminum compared to the larger (longer, deeper and heavier) steel Intel bracket.
When I tried to use the OCZ bracket, though, I was puzzled to find that the mounting holes on the side of the bracket didn't match that of a 3.5" drive. My Antec P180 case doesn't use slide-in brackets for hard drives, so it didn't fit there.I wondered if it would fit cases where slide-in brackets were used, but when I compared the hole spacing to some spare brackets I had, it didn't match those either.
Checking other review sites, I see that some people had the same issue I did, while others said that the bracket fit their case perfectly. You should check your own case before ordering. The holes in the OCZ bracket are at 3/4" and 2-3/8" from the first hole, closest to one end of the bracket.
Needless to say, the Intel bracket had standard-spaced holes matching a 3.5" drive and worked for me.The OCZ bracket did not.
